Examination Classes

We teach and enter candidates for I.S.T.D. dance examinations in 3 different subjects – Classical Ballet (Cecchetti Method), Tap and Modern Theatre – details about these disciplines are on the linked pages.

The ISTD exams are government recognised QCA qualifications, are recognised by Schools, Colleges and Universities and can eventually lead to a professional teaching qualification.

All ISTD examination results are monitored by the ISTD/QCA and all teachers must maintain the recognised pass rate to remain eligible to enter candidates in the future.

Teachers regularly attend training courses to update on new syllabi and exam requirements.

Pupils in our examination classes are graded by age and standard and because we have a very low teacher : pupil ratio in these classes we are able to ensure that every pupil reaches his/her full potential.
